Here are some recipes for savory preparation:

1. Stuffed Goat Cheese Figs with Honey & Rosemary
Ingredients
12 dried figs
120 g goat's cheese
2 tablespoons liquid honey
1 teaspoon chopped rosemary
some pepper
preparation
Preheat oven to 180°C top/bottom heat.
Cut a cross into the top of the figs and press them apart slightly.
Mix goat cheese with rosemary and season with pepper.
Fill the mixture into the figs and place them on a baking tray.
Drizzle with honey and bake for 8-10 minutes.
2. Bacon and fig rolls with walnut
Ingredients
12 dried figs
12 walnut kernels
12 slices of bacon or pancetta
some pepper
preparation
Cut open the figs and fill each one with a walnut.
Wrap with bacon and secure with a toothpick.
Fry in a pan or oven at 200 °C for about 10 minutes until crispy.
3. Lamb tagine with figs and almonds
Ingredients
600 g lamb (shoulder/leg, diced)
1 onion, diced
2 tablespoons olive oil
150 g dried figs, halved
50 g almond kernels
1 tsp cinnamon, ½ tsp cumin, ½ tsp turmeric
400 ml vegetable or lamb stock
salt, pepper
preparation
Heat oil in a heavy pot and brown the meat all over.
Add onion and sauté until translucent.
Stir in spices and roast briefly.
Deglaze with stock, cover, and simmer for about 45 minutes.
Add figs and almonds and let stand for another 10 minutes.

4. Chocolate Fig Truffle
Ingredients
150 g dried figs
100 g dark chocolate
2 tbsp cream or coconut milk
1 tbsp rum (optional)
Cocoa powder for rolling
preparation
Finely chop or puree figs.
Melt chocolate, stir in cream (and optionally rum).
Mix figs into the chocolate mixture and let cool.
Form balls and roll in cocoa.
5. Moist fig and walnut cake
Ingredients
200 g flour
100 g brown sugar
100 g butter, soft
2 eggs
100 ml milk
1 tsp baking powder
1 teaspoon cinnamon
120 g dried figs, diced
60 g walnuts, chopped
preparation
Preheat oven to 175 °C, grease loaf pan.
Beat butter and sugar until creamy, then stir in eggs one at a time.
Mix flour, baking powder and cinnamon, add alternately with milk.
Fold in figs and walnuts.
Pour into the pan and bake for about 40-45 minutes (use a toothpick to check if it is cooked).
6. Fig crumble with oat crumbles
Ingredients
200 g dried figs
150 ml orange juice
1 tsp lemon juice
40 g sugar or honey
70 g oat flakes
50 g flour
40 g butter (cold, diced)
1 pinch of cinnamon
preparation
Chop the figs into small pieces, bring to a boil with orange juice, lemon juice and sugar, and simmer for 5–7 minutes.
Preheat oven to 180 °C and grease a baking dish.
Pour the fig mixture into the dish.
Mix oat flakes, flour, butter and cinnamon into crumbles.
Sprinkle over the figs and bake for 20 minutes until golden brown.
